We provide learning opportunities to assist member libraries in meeting the unique and constantly changing needs of the people they serve. We also design curricula for library directors, trustees, and staff on a range of topics including future trends, daily operations, and library management.
We coordinate system-wide delivery of materials to our 42 member libraries in Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming, and Livingston counties and four correctional facilities.
We coordinate year-round advocacy efforts to educate state legislators about importance of library funding. These efforts help forge strong relationships with local and state legislators who understand the essential place of libraries in our communities and recognize the value of the shared-services PLS provides.
We provide Coordinated Outreach Library Services directly and through our member libraries to community members who are most in need and who often are not library users.
We recognize that trustees play a crucial role in the ongoing success of our member libraries. We offer training and consultation to help member library boards make the best decisions for the libraries and communities.
