Learn what to recognize in your patrons regarding mental health
Day 1 of 2 day workshop.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognized training developed to increase the awareness of Mental illness within the adolescent/young adult population. The training offers 8 hours of practical knowledge about the risk factors, prevalence and warning signs of mental illness in this population. More importantly the training provides participants with a frame work on how to help those who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or who simply need added support related to mental health challenges.
Each participant will receive a 3-year YMHFA certification upon successful completion of the 8-hour course.
Class is 8:45am to 2:15pm.
