Join the PLAN22 Archibrarians team, Karen F. Watson and Robert Hubsher, for a two-part workshop on the principles and basics of the architectural design process that will discuss:
- Designing a new building
- Renovating your current space
- Planning additions for your library
Karen and Robert offer a variety of services to prepare libraries with essential planning tools to carry out a successful building project. To take full advantage of their knowledge and expertise, register below.
Part One - 9:30am to 12:30pm
Part one will address the subject of Building Assessment, proving an overview of the data gathering required to undertake a building needs assessment. Participants will be taken through exercises to give them hands-on experience and the confidence to use the data gathering tools.
Light Lunch - 12:30pm to 1:00pm
Part Two - 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Part two will explain the significance of the preliminary architectural building program and its use as a communication tool throughout a building project. Participants will be taken through exercises to give them hands-on experience and the confidence to use the tools architects use to plan a library facility.
